Attend this session to learn some of the more advanced features of
Moodle such as the Quiz Module and the Glossary Tool. We will also
spend time learning how to embed other Web 2.0 applications into courses created with Moodle™
software to create fun and interactive Moodle™ Mashups.

WHAT
IS MOODLE™?
Moodle™, the most popular open source VLE, was developed by Martin
Dougiamas. Moodle™ is an acronym which stands for Modular
Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning. Moodle™ has also
been referred to as the "Swiss army knife" of instructional
technology tools as educators sometimes use a single Moodle™ features to
address many instructional issues. Moodle™ open-source software is being utilized
increasingly in K-12 Schools to created "walled-gardens" in which allow
students to enjoy all the benefits of emerging technologies while
at the same time protecting them from the perceived dangers
of working online. |
